Welcome to Out on a Limb, your premiere Seattle tree service company serving Lake Forest Park to Normandy Park. We are licensed, bonded and insured in full compliance with WA state law, and most of our employees are currently ISA Certified Arborists. Our philosophy is simple…create healthy, happy trees through balance, structure and growth. Our specialty is fine pruning through analysis of your environment, treating the present moment of your trees and planning for the future. We bring grace, science and art to every job.
An arborist can determine the types of pruning necessary to maintain or improve the health, appearance, and safety of trees. We’re happy to provide full tree service to the Seattle area, including:
Tree and hedge pruning
Hedges are often maintained by tree companies, especially when accessing the work requires tall ladders or the amount of material generated requires a chipper.
Although we prefer tree preservation to removal, there are often situations where removal is really the only feasible option. We have a Certified Tree Risk Assessor on staff to help determine the appropriate course of action.
Tree cabling and bracing
In a forest environment it doesn’t matter if a tree loses a large limb, but in a more urban setting limb failure can cause injury or damage to property. When a tree has a branch or stem that is poorly attached and structural stability cannot be improved with pruning, sometimes installing a cable system is a good option. We offer two types of cabling systems, depending on the situation at hand.
Emergency tree care
Storms may cause limbs or entire trees to fall, often landing on other trees, homes, and structures, or cars. The weight of storm-damaged trees is great, and they can be dangerous to remove or trim. An arborist can assist in performing the job in a safe manner while reducing further risk of damage to property.
